CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THAT PARTICIPATED! I am so proud of the service work you did at Relay. Some of it was great fun and some of it was a little embarassing. I hope you were educated about the importance of your parents and grandparents getting colon cancer screenings. It is a preventable cancer...no one needs to die from this. I hope you know to say,"NO!" to tanning booths and use sunscreen all the time when you are out and about this spring, summer, in Europe, and even when skiing and snowboarding in the winter. Make sure your mom chooses to put herself first more often because you want her to be around for a long, long time. You want her to be healthy. So encourage her to go for her mammography scrrenings every year. If you didn't make this relay, join me on June 18th in Shirley, New York at the William Floyd School District. Kids really got a chance to get to know one another on this great night. Aly said, "the plane right won't be so awkward now. It was a real service project too." So we can do another one if you didn't do this one...and if you did this one...you can go to the Floyd one and hang out until midnight. Get to know your friends you'll be traveling with. I thank you for choosing to work with American Cancer Society. I hope you had as much fun as I did. I am SO proud of each one of you that I worked with. I think you are a great bunch of kids. Thank you, Grace Ryan (itisyourteacher@aol.com)
